Files you open

By default, PPTXViewer parses your .pptx file directly in your browser. The contents of your presentation never leave your device. We don't upload it, log it, or scan it on our servers.

Files you share

If you explicitly click “Generate shareable link”, your file is uploaded to our storage so it can be served to whoever opens the link. We store the minimum metadata needed: file name, slide count, size, a content hash (for abuse reports), and a hashed IP address. Shared decks expire by default after 30 days.

IP addresses

We never persist raw IP addresses. When we need to rate-limit uploads or attribute an abuse report, we hash the IP with a server-side secret before storing.

Analytics & ads

We may use a privacy-respecting analytics provider (such as Plausible) on the marketing pages to measure traffic. Analytics is never run inside the viewer itself. Ads, if shown, only appear on the marketing and blog pages — never on the viewer or on shared deck pages.

Your rights

If you uploaded a deck and want it removed before its expiry, click the “Delete this share” button on the share page or email us. We respond to GDPR and CCPA requests within 30 days.
